Strawberry Sports Festival programme announced

Bring your picnic blankets, chairs and get ready for a family day full of fun, sport and music!

Brentwood Borough Council’s much loved annual Strawberry Fair is back with an exciting sporting twist for 2024.

Taking place at King George’s Playing Fields on Sunday 9 June from 12 - 6pm, our Strawberry Sports Festival is a free community event for families to enjoy.

The day will feature a jam-packed schedule of entertainment, including performances by Razzamataz Theatre School and Stagecoach Performing Arts Brentwood. Attendees can also enjoy a variety of free sports activities, exciting rides and the classic Punch and Judy show. There will be numerous free family activities, as well as an array of food and drink options available for purchase, including strawberries and Pimms. Additionally, Splash Pad sessions will be offered at a reduced cost of £2.50 during the event.

Thank you to our sponsors Razzamataz Theatre School Brentwood and Stagecoach Performing Arts Brentwood for providing dance workshops, Solar Armour Limited for hosting a stand with family-friendly activities and Bennetts Funerals for offering their horse and carriage to transport the Mayor of Brentwood.

A ‘what’s on’ guide will be displayed around the park, featuring an entertainment schedule and a map of activity locations. While free parking is available onsite, we encourage attendees to walk or cycle to the event.
