Nominations are now open for the Brentwood Borough Council and Rochford District Council 2024 Sports awards.
The sports awards celebrate the achievements of athletes, coaches, volunteers and teams who have made significant contributions to sports in our community. Brentwood Borough Council in collaboration with Rochford District Council are looking for individuals, teams or groups who go above and beyond to support and champion the growth of sports in our communities.
We are calling on residents, clubs and organisations to nominate those who have demonstrated outstanding dedication, skill and sportsmanship over the past year. Whether it’s a promising young athlete, an inspiring volunteer, or a team that has shown remarkable performance, we want to hear their stories and celebrate their achievements.
With seven categories, the awards also seek to recognise the unsung heroes of sport – the coaches and volunteers whose commitment ensures athletes and clubs continue to thrive.
Councillor Dr Tim Barrett, Chair of Brentwood Borough Council’s Housing, Health & Community Committee said, “Get your nominations in so we can celebrate all the sporting talent we have in our borough. These awards are a chance to acknowledge the hard work and dedication of our athletes, coaches, clubs and volunteers. We encourage nominations for all those who have inspired and made a difference in local sports.”
