Do you know someone who goes out of their way to make a difference in our community?
The annual Civic Awards are back, and we are calling on you to nominate those individuals and organisations that are making a difference in our community.
We’d like to recognise the hard work of organisations and locals, who have continued to help others and make Brentwood a better place. The annual Civic Awards provide an opportunity to acknowledge their dedication in going above and beyond for the community.
Mayor of Brentwood Councillor Mark Haigh said, “The Civic Awards are a chance to shine a light on those remarkable individuals and organisations who quietly dedicate their time and energy to make Brentwood a better place. Their selflessness and commitment deserve to be celebrated and I encourage everyone to nominate someone they know who has gone the extra mile for our community. Let’s ensure their efforts do not go unnoticed.”
The Service to the Community award is open for nominations to both individuals and groups, regardless of age and can be nominated to someone who volunteers their free time helping others, such as caring for a family member, helping others within the Borough or someone who has done something exceptional for the community.
The Lifetime Achievement award is designed to honour someone who has dedicated years to creating a lasting and positive effect on the community and deserves recognition for their accomplishments.
Anyone who lives or works in Brentwood can be nominated.
To assist the judging panel, please ensure you include as much detail as possible when nominating with examples of what the individual or group have done in the community.
The nominations close on Friday 7 February 2025 and will be considered by the panel of judges.
The awards will be presented on Friday 11 April 2025 at the Civic Dinner.
