There are nine Parish Councils within the Brentwood Borough. Only two parishes were scheduled to have elections in May 2024.
- Blackmore, Hook End & Wyatts Green
Blackmore Village Ward (five seats)
Hook End & Wyatts Green Ward (eight seats)
- Doddinghurst (11 seats)
As the number of valid nominations received for each of the parishes was fewer than the number of seats in that area, there is no requirement for any parish council elections in 2024. The candidates have been elected unopposed and the remaining vacancies will be filled by co-option.
You can see details of the successful candidates in each area:
- Notice of uncontested election – Blackmore 2024
- Notice of uncontested election – Hook End & Wyatts Green 2024
- Notice of uncontested election – Doddinghurst 2024
The next scheduled elections in the following parishes are due to be held in 2027:
- Herongate & Ingrave
- Ingatestone & Fryerning
- Kelvedon Hatch
- Mountnessing Village
- Navestock
- Stondon Massey
- West Horndon
From time to time, casual vacancies can occur on Parish Councils. These can be filled by a process of co-option if no election is called. Find out more by contacting your Parish Clerk.
