Statement of Licensing Policy
Section 5 of the Licensing Act 2003 requires the Council to prepare and publish a statement of its licensing policy every three years. The most recent Policy was reviewed in December 2010 and published in 2011.The Council must have regard to the Policy when carrying out any function in respect of individual applications made under the Act.
The policy must be kept under review and the Council may make such revisions to it as it considers appropriate, for instance in the light of feedback from the local community on whether the licensing objectives are being met.
